The coronavirus has undoubtedly wreaked havoc on our lives, but it shouldn’t cause you to skip your family’s back-to-school dental checkups. Concerned about safety? Check out this list of all the ways Dental Health Partners is preparing our office to keep you healthy and safe.

Coming to our office

We may call before your appointment and ask you some questions about your current health. We may also repeat these questions when you arrive to make sure nothing has changed.

We ask that you limit the number of people you bring to an appointment; if you have someone with you, please have them wait in their car.

When you arrive at Dental Health Partners, we ask that you wait outside in your car until we’re ready for you. This will reduce the number of people in the office and the amount of time you’re close to other people. We’re also asking each patient to wear a mask when in public areas.

During your appointment

When you enter the office, you will have your temperature taken. (We also are screening our own staff each day.) Inside the office, you may notice things — like magazines — have been removed. Hand sanitizer will be available for you to use, and we will wipe down common surfaces on a regular basis.

When you’re in the dental chair, you may notice some things look different from your last visit. We may also be using different protective equipment than we’ve used at previous appointments. We’ve added new PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), including N95 masks and face shields and will change our coats between patients. This is all to prevent your exposure and our staff’s exposure, helping to keep us all healthy and well.

After your appointment

After your appointment is over, the staff will thoroughly clean the area, following rigorous infection control procedures.
